What is the final walkthrough and when does it happen?
A final walkthrough is the buyer's last inspection of a home, done in the day or two before closing, to confirm it is in the condition the contract requires and that any agreed repairs actually got done. It is not a second full home inspection, just a check against the contract and the earlier inspection report. Scheduling it as close to closing as the seller's move-out allows gives the most accurate picture of the home's final condition.
