Should I waive the inspection to win a bidding war?
Waiving an inspection contingency entirely removes a buyer's ability to walk away or renegotiate over problems the inspection would have caught, which is a real risk on any home regardless of how competitive the bidding gets. A middle option, like a shortened inspection period or an inspection for information only, keeps some protection while still making an offer more competitive. Joel Boss weighs those trade-offs with buyers rather than defaulting to a full waiver.
