Should I waive the inspection contingency to win a bidding war?
Removing an inspection contingency altogether gives up a buyer's built-in exit if a home inspection turns up a serious problem, a real cost regardless of how many competing offers are on the table. A partial step, such as keeping the inspection for information only rather than for negotiating leverage, keeps a buyer informed while still presenting a stronger offer. Joel Boss walks buyers through that middle ground before recommending a full waiver.
