How much should the daily use and occupancy fee be?

A daily use and occupancy fee is typically negotiated between the buyer and seller to approximate the cost of a comparable daily housing expense, often benchmarked against the buyer's own new mortgage, taxes, and insurance divided by day, plus sometimes a premium for the inconvenience. There is no fixed or standard rate in Georgia, so the number has to be worked out case by case in the agreement rather than pulled from a formula. Whatever figure is agreed on should be written into a signed use and occupancy agreement before move-in. Joel Boss can help negotiate a fair number for a specific situation.
